Wrong Side of the Bed
Isn’t it funny how somebody else’s mood and energy can instantly zap yours into oblivion? Most school mornings are great but there is usually that one day out of the week I can’t get my oldest out the door fast enough! Today was that day, she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. What is the right side of the bed? Do I need to go rearrange her furniture accordingly, don’t tempt me I’ll do it right now!
Toss the pillows to the ground pray over her sheets and move that sucker so tomorrow she has no choice but to wake up on the right side.
I think I’ll text her and remind her I love her instead. Because even though she left mad at me and me definitely not too happy with her, I still love her. I don’t want the rest of her day to be a reminder of that. Mission accomplished.
This is much how I think God see’s us. We wake up or the day carries on to bring circumstances that circumvent us from wanting anything to do with him. We get mad or upset and shutdown not wanting to be bothered by him or anybody for that matter. But he still loves us and doesn’t want us to carry on the day as a reminder of that incident. He’ll toss back the pillows of our troubles fluff our sheets listen to our prayers and let us wake up on the right side if the bed.
