A Miracle with a Vision
We are a week in to the New Year and I must say so far so good! I love how at this time of year like no other you can tap into your resources and feel truly as if you can begin again fresh and new as if the last year hadn’t happened. This last one was really starting to wear on me and to say bringing me down is an understatement.
In November I started writing out my plan and goals for 2017. Ok great this is the first time I had actually written them all out and was even the first agent at the office to show mine to the captain of our great ship! I knew I needed to kick 2017 in the rear. As 2016 was met with several shortcomings that were all but sure things that left me scratching my head wondering “where do I go from here?”
I know what time it is, it’s time to start doing things I’ve never done before to get results I’ve never gotten before!
- 83% of the population does not have goals.
- 14% have a plan in mind, but are unwritten goals.
- 3% have goals written down.
I am now officially part of that 3%, wahoo I’m already in a better place than when I began.
The study also found that the 14% who have goals are 10 times more successful than those without goals. The 3% with written goals are 3 times more successful than the 14% with unwritten goals.
Clearly, a person is more likely to achieve a goal if it is written down.
So again how do I get out of the slump I’ve been hurdling towards?
After becoming a 3 percent-er and writing out my goals, now it’s time to get my vision in check and what better way than implementing my good ol’ vision board! My last vision board was on the money right down to having one more baby girl and surprisingly when I looked later on, it had another baby boy on that sucker! If I would’ve looked at it more intently and with purpose, maybe Dean wouldn’t have been the surprise he was. Good surprise but well you know!
So here is my vision board for 2017…
I really needed to use the back side of this poster board to include everything I wanted to but that doesn’t allow me the opportunity to sit and focus on it as a whole.
The next step to help start this New Year off right is to begin implementing a miracle in my life. Wait don’t miracles just happen isn’t that why they’re called miracles? Oh contraire my friend, you can make miracles happen! I’m starting in baby steps but I’m already noticing my slump improving my outlook is changing and it really has to do with my own personal mindset but I started implementing the “Miracle Morning” a friend loaned me the book a couple of months back and with skepticism I began reading it but thought yea yea that makes sense but that’s really freaking early!!
Look back at that vision board this mommie wants more sleep and energy!! how is waking up at the butt crack of dawn going to help with that?
It’s your outlook, that’s how…change the voice in your head!
I am only on day 4 but already the past 2 mornings I woke before my alarm at 4:30am and couldn’t wait to start the day! I have felt so energized…yes I still drink coffee…but truly I feel better in this last week and feel more task oriented by giving myself more time in the morning, then trying to put my tasks to the evening after the kids go to bed.
So with my 2017 already jump started, we just have to keep the momentum going. I figured if writing out your goals was important maybe writing out this too would be an accountability marker for me to make it happen.
